Every couple has their fair share of arguments. But, here are 6 ways to go from flirty to fighting in no time.
1. Can you just decide what you want to eat!
This is so innocent at first, but it always turns ugly. Your man swears he doesn’t care where you choose but he turns down the first 4 places you suggest. And the same goes for when he asks you.
You both always say that you are up for going anywhere, but it’s a lie. It’s a lie, and it’s going to turn into at least a 20-minute argument before you finally agree on one of the first places you mentioned, which now all of a sudden sounds great.
2. Don’t ‘K.’ me ever again.
Texting is a super helpful invention. But, it is SO easy for a message to be misinterpreted.
How many times have you thought your guy was mad at you due to a lack of emojis or excessive punctuation? I feel you.
Because he did not include a single emoticon in that message. Who does he think he is?
3. Just in the mood to push some buttons
You’d be lying if you said you never did something for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of him.
You know exactly what makes each other tick, which means you also know exactly which buttons to push to get a reaction out of each other.
4. Can’t seem to get on the same page
There are some days when it can just be hard to connect. You had a fantastic day at work and are feeling extra perky, but his day at work was subpar and he’s ready to call it a night.
Or maybe you just want to have a relaxing weekend in, but he wants to go on a camping trip.
Sometimes, you just can’t get on the same wavelength, and it can lead to fights out of pure frustration.
5. Who gets to choose the TV show/radio station
This fight is especially brutal when there is a tv show on that you want to watch and a sporting event that he wants to watch. A debate begins over which show should be worthy of appearing on your screens tonight.
This fight is also especially tough if your musical tastes are polar opposites.
He doesn’t want to listen to your “hipster” music and his “screamo” selections make your head hurt.
6. One word: dishes.
When you both have a long day, the last thing you want to do is come home and do chores. But, you also know that it is important to have a tidy-ish house.
Unfortunately, the chores you care about and the chores he cares about do not match up. Dishes in the sink drive him nuts. Clothes sprawled around the floor drive you nuts.
The person that caves is usually the one who runs out of clean clothes or dishes first. It’s not a perfect system, but hey. Sometimes, you gotta do what ya gotta do!
The beauty of these fights is that they are so common.
And, while they feel so big in the moment, you quickly realize that if this is what your fights consist of, the two of you have a good thing going.
