I know that life has been difficult lately. I know that it seems like things are piling up and you don’t have any power over your world or the direction it is going.
I know that sometimes it hurts so much that you just want to give up.
So, on the days when it feels like things are spiraling out of control, read this.
It’s okay to fall apart sometimes.
You can cry. You can be upset. You don’t have to have it all together all the time. Sometimes, you need to let it all out to let it all go. Never feel like you have to put on an act for the people around you. Allow yourself to go through your emotional process and move forward however you need to.
You are stronger than you realize.
Take a minute to really look back at where you started. Your pain has taught you so much about yourself.
And there have been so many times that you wanted nothing more than to give up, but you didn’t.
You are a warrior because you have fought your way through, even on your darkest days.
You are so much more than your mistakes.
Your mistakes may have played a role in making you into the person you are, but they do not define you. You get to define yourself.
Try to remember the good things about yourself instead of only magnifying the bad.
You have so many things that make you so unique and special to the people around you. Don’t be the only one that doesn’t see it.
You’re not alone.
There are so many people that are feeling the same insecurities that you are. While your story is unique to you, the struggle is something that all people can relate to.
It’s our common ground. We share in the struggle, and it binds us together. So, don’t be afraid to ask somebody for help. It takes a lot of strength to be able to know when you can’t handle things alone. Don’t let your pride keep you from getting the assistance you need to get through.
It’ll get better.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it WILL happen. I know that sometimes life can be overwhelming, and you don’t always feel like you can deal with all the things being thrown onto your plate.
But, it won’t be this bad forever. Give things time to level back out. It may take longer than you’d like, but it gets better.
You have a choice.
You can either be your own biggest supporter or your own biggest enemy.
You can choose to let your pride trick you into thinking that your failures are the final say in your potential, or you can let them be the driving force for change.
It’s normal to allow doubts to creep in from time to time, but you’ve gotta be able to stop the voices in your head telling you that you’re not good enough.
Because if you let those thoughts take up space in your mind long enough, you’ll start believing them. Protect your heart. Protect your potential. You’re better than your insecurities.
Don’t lose sight of what you’re fighting for.
You have goals and dreams that help get you out of bed in the morning. They push you to want to do better, to want to BE better.
Sometimes in the chaos of the day-to-day grind, you can forget what you’re working for. It’s like being in the middle of the ocean with no sight of the horizon. You feel scared of drowning. You feel directionless.
But, you’ll get to the shore if you just keep moving. Don’t give up. Don’t be stagnant or afraid of uncharted territory.
Never stop fighting for the things that make you who you are. Put in the work and have faith in yourself and your goals even when you can’t see where they are taking you.
I know that you’ve made plans for your life and watched them fall apart. But, it’s not because you aren’t destined for something great.
The universe just has another plan for you.
Have enough faith in yourself and your story to know that you still have so many things to accomplish.
You’re going to have moments of weakness and moments of intense strength. It is all part of what makes you who you are.
So, don’t stress too much when you lose control. You are going to be okay.
